Refund policy
Refunds and Exchanges
We allow exchange/refund of sunglasses due to not fitting properly, not suiting (we don’t think it’s fair for you to be stuck with a pair of sunnies that just don’t suit) or manufacturing fault.
We do NOT give refunds/exchanges for scratched, bent, damaged sunglasses caused by the customer.
For an exchange to be accepted:
1. Unsuitable glasses must be in brand new, re-saleable condition just as they were sent out to you. They must NOT be worn, scratched, bent etc.
The glasses must be returned in a black pouch with padding/packing peanuts in the box for protection during their travels (again, as they were sent to you.)
2. Unsuitable glasses must be returned with everything that was sent out to you (all cases, pouches, cloths, including any free gifts).
If these two are not met, we will not be able to process your return.
Postage is to be paid by the customer.
Once we have inspected the returned pair, we will then send you an email regarding your refund.
If you are after a refund, please note, we cannot refund duties, taxes or shipping charges. (Taxes refers to international taxes and does not refer to gst paid on your purchase.)
If you would like to exchange for a more suitable pair, we can discuss this with you through email.
If there is a difference in pricing you will have to pay the difference.
Warranty and Faults
We have a 1 year warranty on all of our products.
This warranty covers manufacturing faults ONLY and these include things like faulty hinges, and loose lenses.
You must provide a copy of receipt of purchase in your email to us whether this be a photo of the receipt if from a physical store or a screenshot of your 'confirmation of purchase' email or order number/full name. You must also provide photos of the fault.
If we need further inspection of the fault we will ask you to send back your sunglasses back in the post with the case just as you received it. Return postage will have to be paid for it by the customer.
Bamboo Gorilla has sole discretion over what is deemed a manufacturing fault and whether it will be covered by the warranty or not.
The warranty does NOT cover, change of mind, breakages from being sat on or dropped or scratches to the lenses as these are not manufacturing faults.
If your fault IS covered under our warranty, you can choose from one of the following 2 options.
Option 1. We will send you out a new pair of the exact same pair. If the exact same is out of stock at the time, you may choose a different style equal to or less than the same value. If you would like a pair with a higher value, you must pay the difference through the website.
Option 2. If you would prefer a refund to the value of your purchase, we can organise this for you through the website.
If unsure about whether the fault is covered under our warranty, please get in contact with us. You must provide clear photos of the fault and and we will look at photos you have sent through and let you know the steps moving forward.
